2. Purpose of This Notice
This Notice explains what personal information ELLEM collects, why we collect it, and your rights under POPIA. It supplements our full Privacy Policy.
3. Personal Information We Process
Name and contact details, identification information, financial and business information, and technical/website usage information, as further described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Purpose of Processing
We process personal information to: deliver consulting and platform services; communicate with clients and prospective clients; process payments; comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and improve our services and website.
5. Legal Basis
Processing is carried out on the basis of consent, contractual necessity, legal obligation, or legitimate interest, as applicable to the specific processing activity.
6. Recipients of Personal Information
Personal information may be shared with trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting or payment processors) strictly for the purpose of delivering our services, and with regulatory or legal authorities where required by law.
7. Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law, including financial recordkeeping obligations under the Companies Act.

ELLEM implements reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and disclosure.
9. Data Breach Notification
Where there is reasonable belief that your personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected individuals as soon as reasonably possible, in accordance with Section 22 of POPIA.
10. Direct Marketing
Electronic direct marketing communications will only be sent where you have given prior, explicit opt-in consent, in accordance with Section 69 of POPIA. You may withdraw consent at any time.
11. Your Rights as a Data Subject
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information; object to processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
12. Cross-Border Transfers
Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection is maintained, in line with POPIA's cross-border transfer requirements.
